Still life oil paintings
Still life oil paintings like the one above i made using a digital photo.
I photographed the still life myself in my studio, or actually in my
apartement which i use as a studio.
At the time when i made this painting, i made many still life paintings
like this one. You can see some of them here on my homepage.
I painted these still life oil paintings right after i had finished the copy
of Mona Lisa. I guess i had to concentrate on something more easy
for a while.
In the beginning of this project, i focused on this kind of painting
as a study of fruit and vegetables. But after a while i find it actually
rather enjoyable working with this kind of compositions. Some of
the paintings is as you maybe can see done with a little humor.
The problem connected with painting still life paintings is that these
kind of paintings are pretty hard to get rid of, if you know what i
mean. But painting still life oil paintings is sometimes a nice way
of painting without putting or feeling the need of using your whole
soul in the painting prosess. To put it in another way. Still life paintings
is usually much more easy to do than all other kinds of paintings.
