Erotic art

This painting is one of a few painting i have made wich can be called erotic art. I used a digital photo when i painted this erotic painting. The
photo i found on the internet, somewhere. That is what i like about internet as an artist. If i have got an idea, i can search for images connected to that idea, and if i am lucky i will find a photo i can use as a starting point.

If you take a look at my other paintings, you will find a couple of other paintings which you can call erotic art. I have also made a print in black and white which is in the erotic art category.

I like to paint different things and i am sure that noone will think of me as an erotic art painter. I do not think that most people will find it ok to put an erotic art painting on the wall in their living room. Sometimes we have to consider what the potential art buyer would like to buy.

If you take a look at the history of art you will find that artists through all times have been painting naked girls/woman. Sometimes they did it as a study and other times trying to make a high class work of erotic art.

It is something fascinating about the female body that almost always looks better as a painting than a male body. I would guess that even females agrees with me on that. Maybe it is their soft curves that is more aesthetic.
